Cicada Lodge
Nitmiluk Tours

Project Description
Cicada Lodge is located 300km south of Darwin, on the escarpment above the Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park.
The interior design blends itself with the tones of the native habitat and was inspired by indigenous culture and their connection with the earth. Harnessing the rich ochres and earthy browns, the orange hues of the sunset and the greens of the Australian bush. The natural materials used throughout were chosen from renewable sources and included plantation merbau and bamboo flooring.
The non-intrusive rooms are fitted with custom designed joinery and contemporary furnishings, enhancing the guests experience with the attention to detail. Every room hosts original indigenous art, craft and locally made bathroom condiments.
